This locality is located in the southwest of the region, in a place surrounded by small hills, whose altitudes range between 590 and 650 metres above sea level and owes its name to the large presence of big game, which lived in these lands, especially deer. Nature has a special relevance in this town, with hiking trails that run through its municipal area and where visitors can practice hunting.

Its lands have been inhabited since pre-Roman times, as is attested by the remains of a road, but it was in the 12th century that this locality became an independent town when it was separated from Talavera de la Reina and later, in the 17th century, became an independent village. Natural and cultural heritage united to offer the visitor a pleasant visit with different monuments and unique environments in this region.

Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (16th c.)

This temple was completed in 1594 under the patronage of the Marquise of Deleitosa. It consists of a single nave with a higher presbytery and a prominent three-sided polygonal apse. The bell tower has two sections and presides over the main square of the town. In addition, its colonnaded portico on the south side is a sort of atrium in which to take shelter. Inside, the wooden choir stands out next to a large baroque organ and a canvas depicting the Virgin of the Assumption from the 17th century Spanish school.

Hermitage of San Roque (XVII- SVIII c.)

Dating from the 17th-18th century, it is square in plan. Inside there is a niche under a round arch. In the 19th century it housed French soldiers during the War of Independence, who razed it to the ground and set fire to it as they left. Restored after many years, it houses the image of San Roque, patron saint of the town.

Ermita del Rosario (16th century).

Dedicated to one of the most deeply-rooted devotions in the town. Although it is very small, it is very well decorated with a valuable ceramic plinth from Talavera de la Reina dating from the 16th century.

Royal Silk Factory (18th century)

It is a building created in the mid-18th century, as an annex to the Royal Silk Factory of Talavera de la Reina. Until the 19th century it depended on this manufacturing complex due to the extensive mulberry plantations in the area. Built in neoclassical style, it is now embedded in the houses that have been built around it. The main building or Casa de los Molinos still stands today, divided into private houses, with the central entrance doorway standing out.

Farrar colt (20th c.)

Dating from the 20th century, it is made up of granite blocks placed in pairs and at a certain distance from each other. On the floor, the ironwork typical of these constructions is still preserved
