A hamlet linked to the city of Talavera de la Reina, this town has remains from the Upper Palaeolithic and Roman periods up to the construction in 925 AD of the Watchtower on the Cerro Melojo. This hamlet was founded at the end of the 13th century as a shepherds' settlement at the foot of the El Berrocal mountain range, in the Tagus valley, under the name of El Casar del Ciego because its foundation is attributed to a certain "Moreno", who built a casar (a group of houses and corrals), and who through the vicissitudes of life was blinded and the people said: "let's go to El Casar del Ciego"

Due to its low population and its proximity to Talavera de la Reina, in 1845 its town council was suppressed and annexed as a district to the town of Cerámica until it recently became Eatim.

This municipality has beautiful natural areas such as the Sierra del Berrocal mountain range where you can enjoy hiking routes to observe landscapes and streams such as the Malojo stream where visitors can find the remains of old water mills.
