FESTIVAL OF EXALTATION OF OLIVE TREES AND OIL WITH D.O. MONTES DE TOLEDO TO TAKE PLACE ON APRIL 27, 28 and 29 IN THE LOCALITY OF MORA
The original fiesta of Mora has its origins in the private celebrations that each farmer used to hold at the end of the olive harvest, with dancing in his house and decorating his carts with olive branches.
A CELEBRATION OF ETHNOGRAPHIC AND CULTURAL CHARACTER WHOSE MAJOR ATTRACTION IS ITS “CARS PARADE-CONCERT”
Today its main attraction is the parade / float competition which is celebrated on Sunday morning (the feast is celebrated annually on the last Sunday in April) The parade is watched by tens of thousands of people from all over the world who come to Mora to share with the Morachos, this popular and traditional olive tree festival which pays homage to the millenary tree.
A FESTIVAL DECLARED OF REGIONAL TOURIST INTEREST TO ENJOY THROUGH THE SENSES
Mora is an international benchmark for the quality of its olive oil, appreciated in the most exquisite gourmet shops all over the world. Based on the artisan grinding of olives in traditional olive mills, it is almost a sin to leave without tasting and buying it.
