Finistur . ecotourism route.

Location: PR TO-05. Turleque. La Mancha region.

Difficulty: Cumulative height gain of 194 metres.

Tour: 16 Km.

KM. 0. We start from the town centre of Turleque. Right here, in front of the justice roll (18th century), you will find the tourist information point of the route.
KM. 4,000. TAs we walk along this path we can enjoy the contrast of cereal steppes on the right and a small sea of olive trees on the left, close to the Algodor mountain range. It will be possible to observe protected species of the La Mancha steppe with others of aquatic habits, belonging to the life of the nearby Finisterre reservoir.
KM. 5,600. ASCENT TO THE SIERRA. At this point we find ourselves in front of a beacon that points us towards the first alternative route that takes us to the top of the Algodor mountain range or to Finisterre, above the reservoir's waterbed, at an altitude of 750 m. From here the views are impressive, and you can see a variety of wintering birds, as well as some birds of prey (marsh harrier, black kite, Bonelli's eagle, etc.)
KM. 8,400. HERMITAGE OF THE VALLEY We approach the Cristo del Valle hermitage, chosen as a resting place for the Don Quixote route.
KM. 13.200, FINISH. In these last kilometres we have covered the last stretch of Finistur, on the Don Quixote route, on a road in excellent conditions, between different crops and close to some areas of the ZEPA Mancha Norte;
