On the occasion of Easter 2024, the Provincial Council of Toledo, from the area of Tourism, wants to carry out the dissemination and promotion of those that have been declared as Festivals of Tourist Interest in the province of Toledo.
For more than 400 years, order and silence have accompanied the majestic processions of the town of Ocaña.
Composed of brotherhoods of the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries.
The Good Friday procession stands out, where the three falls of Christ are represented with articulated images, amidst a sepulchral silence.
The Brotherhood of the Armed is especially notorious for the 16th and 17th century armor breastplates and helmets that they wear.

Easter Week in Talavera de la Reina is considered a mixture of Castilian and Andalusian.
It stands out for the processions of La Borriquita, del Silencio, Santo Entierro, which can be seen from the beautiful walls; the Encounter of the Resurrected Jesus with his Mother in the Plaza del Reloj and the Via Crucis of Ceramics.
All of them accompanied by the dim lights in the candles of the brothers and the drums and bugles of the bands that precede the processional steps.

The Holy Week of Quintanar de la Orden has as protagonist the Procession of the Carracas.
A tradition that goes back decades on Holy Wednesday and is starring the children of all the brotherhoods and fraternities that are carrying and ringing a wooden rattle.
The saetas with which the neighbors pay tribute to the images, as well as the bands of bugles and drums that create a unique atmosphere.

It stands out especially for its artistic and religious value and for the uniqueness of some of its events dating from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
Holy Thursday is the most important day in which the three most important local brotherhoods procession: the “Whites”, the “Blacks” and the “Purple”, according to the color of the tunics they wear.
On Palm Sunday the image of Jesus in the Borriquilla goes out. He is accompanied by a multitude of neighbors with palms that make this procession one of the most striking and colorful.

images “The Staging of the Judas Kiss”, “The Judgment of Pilate”, “The Wiping of Christ’s Face
The procession of the “Santo Entierro” (Holy Burial) in which various brotherhoods and fraternities accompany the recumbent Christ to his tomb, 1.5 km from the town, to be buried there.
Another important moment is on Easter Sunday in “The Procession of the Encounter” which has as its climax “The Burning of Judas” in the Town Hall Square, accompanied by a final fireworks display.

The Holy Week of Villacañas has a series of characteristics that have made it grow during these last three decades, highlighting mainly the intense work developed by the Brotherhoods in the organization of the processions, which have been growing since its recovery in 1990, In recent years, they have managed to take to the streets of Villacañas a thousand brothers and up to 17 processions, some of remarkable artistic value, as well as several bands of bugles and drums, in a series of processions that begin on Friday of Sorrows and conclude on Easter Sunday with the procession of the Encounter, which closes with a great tamborrada in the Plaza de España.
