Yeles traces its roots back to prehistoric times, with Celtic peoples being the first to pass through its lands. Romans, Visigoths and Muslims continued to inhabit its territory until in the 12th century, with the Christian Reconquest, the settlement of the town centre was consolidated, which reached its peak in the 16th century with the construction of the parish church. This town has been small over the years, which is why it has preserved a small historic quarter around the church and the town hall, both of which are of popular architecture. The growth experienced at the end of the 20th century has meant that its small urban centre has been surrounded by new housing developments, and the visitor can clearly observe this contrast between past and present.
It is a flat territory with few elevations where there is an abundance of olive groves, cereal fields and vineyards, which are irrigated by the Guatén stream that runs through the municipality. Different paths run through its cultivated fields so that the visitor can take simple and pleasant walks on foot or by bicycle. To contemplate the Sagreña plain in its lands is to enjoy the tranquillity provided by the immensity of the Toledo plateau.

Built in the 20th century in popular architecture, it is located in the station district.
Carved by shepherds in the shelter of the mounds, the caves were built because the material of the mound, selenite, was easy to construct by pouring. These caves have been occupied until a few decades ago.
